One pair of pink and grey Babycham "fashion" trainers (As in, not for sports at all) One pair of regular sandals (pink, getting a theme?)One pair of old Acupuncture trainers which I don't wear anymore but are too beautiful to throw away, loads of ballet slippers in a range of colours, silver high heels, black high heels, gold wedges (LOVE them) black ankle boots, brown wedge ankle boots (High, but the wedge makes them very comfortable) Silver Nike trainer things. I don't know what to call them. The toe is divided, and they're kind of open.... Weird trainers, I officially call them. These are the shoes I can remember, though I have a feeling I missed out on some.
BUT, my favourite shoes, and most expensive, are the pair of Manolo Blahniks I bought in NY last Sept. They are so beautiful, I love them so much. I'd put a pic up, but I left them in Ireland last month when I wore them to a ball. *sob* They make my giant (size 7, on a slim frame) clown feet look elegant. Mr. Monkey makes fun of me because I have a 'shoe rainbow' in my closet - I have most of them lined up in order of colour. I spend over half the year in the wilderness, so I find I get ultra-feminine when I'm in the city.

My favourite pair right now are a 4" heel and they're red satin with little white polka-dots. They're lovely!

I also have a pair of ninja-turtle velcro shoes I bought from the boys section at Wal-Mart. I have little feet, so I can buy my camp shoes for super cheap!

In addition to those, I have three pairs of hiking boots, all of which get used quite often. You have to remember, when looking at my unladylike choices, that I grew up in rural Maine... moved to Wyoming... and now once again live in rural Maine. These aren't really places that cultivate femininity. I mean, I'm not a mountainwoman or anything... I shave my legs and wear makeup if I'm going out but heels weren't even an option where I lived and if I tried to walk in them now I'd break my ankle.

I have been put on a shoe moratorium. The only way that it is let up is if I throw a pair away when I buy a new one (leeh is such an awful man).

Most of my shoes are black but, as I have explained to leeh that there are reasons we need different shoes. Some pants look better with shorter heels while others (because I am a whopping 5'4") are too long so I need higher heels. Some shoes have pointy toes and some have rounded toes.

I have about 5 pairs of converse low-top chucks, but hey, you can never have too many different colored pairs of chucks, right?

Then there is the need for good sneakers for walking or running.

And then boots. I have Docs, Monkey Boots, Uggs and knee high black boots that I wear for work with skirts to cover my leg tattoos.

I have heels in every colour of the rainbow, several classy pumps for work, and a few pairs of sandles. I usually find killer shoe sales, so I can justify buying two pairs if they're what I was expecting to pay for one set. I once had a pair of crocs, but I was smart enough to never wear them in public.

I've also got a super duper warm pair of skidoo boots; they've got a 5cm sole so that my feet stay warm when it's -50. I've got one old manky set of hiking boots (note to self: it's time to buy new ones), and a few nice pairs of hiking shoes and stuff.
