it was supposed to be a prank where i pose a simple question like do you use laptops? and then edit my post to be an embarrassing question. there is also another thread where i say i am not good at pranks.

Got it! I didn't see the thread originally when it said laptops hence the confusion.

It would have worked if none of us used the word "laptop".

In fact, it would have been pretty freakin' funny if we all hadn't gone and blown it.

I'm just thinking of my own contribution - Eljay saying that every member of their family has one and then me responding by saying I have 5 for my own personal use.

Maybe next time include the phrase "A simple yes or no is all I need."

Hmmm... clscott645 and I both have Macbooks, my son has a Compaq laptop, the kids have a brand new Core2Duo desktop and brand new Core2Duo Laptop. We have a Pentium 4 desktop that needs a power supply, and an AMD Athlon laptop that has a cracked screen casing but otherwise works perfectly. It is sitting in a corner right now because there is no place to put it. We have two Xbox 360s, two PS2s, and a Wii. Oh yeah, I think there is a Game Cube or two floating around here somewhere. Geek Central my ASCII!!
