Zach and I are getting a room mate. It's my friend Brad who I use to swim with and play hackey sack with when I was about 15 or so. He's moving back to Lawrence and none of the leases around here start until August so he's staying with us until then. It's going to be great financially. He's going to do 1/2 of rent and 1/3 of bills. We're also going to share groceries and he's bringing a nice TV and a Playstation2. He's really laid back and has been my friend longer than most of my friends have and Zach is comfortable with him around me and yeah. I gatta clean out the second bedroom now and find a place for all the stuff that was in there now though.

Yesterday I decided to make a smoothie... it just got worse from there.

I had frozen a bananna... and well, those things are just a little difficult to deal with. I snapped it in half with my hand, and I was trying to cut into the peel, and because I forgot my boyscout training, I was holding my knife wrong, and ended up stabbing myself in the finger. Nothing bad, just a little bigger than a pinprick, but painful and bloody.

Fast forward to tonight, I went shopping, I asked my wife if we needed milk. She says, "Yea, the milk we have is getting lumpy." I looked at her with fear in my eyes and told her that I used it in my smoothie yesterday. When I got home I checked it out... not quite lumpy... but definitely not good.

Okay, our yard has grown way too fast while we were out of town. We didn't wanna pay someone to mow the lawn. Thats expensive and my Mom and I don't have a lawnmower, because we used to pay for a lawn care service. So my Uncle Charlie said we could have his lawnmower since he has people to mow his. When he got here, he told us on the way he bought us a new one. That is awesome! He turned it on and showed me how to operate it. It seemed to be working, that is of course till he leaves. Figures doesn't it? I would finally get it on but then it would just stop. Then after many attempts, it wouldn't start at all. So we took it back to Home Depot and this guy tried everything he knew to get it going. It didn't.

So then we exchange it for a new one. He assures us that the one in the box is fully assembled because um my Mom and I don't have tools and we don't put things together. Thats what my brother is for, who is not here. So we bring it home and struggle to get it out of the car and open the box. There it is...with no wheels and certain important aspects it needs. We don't have tools for this and we don't wanna buy tools just to fix it. So we're gonna ask my Uncle Tim if we can borrow his tools. We would've asked my Uncle Mike who lives a lot closer, but hes very picky about his tools.

But guess what? On a whim, the lawnmower started and I cut the whole yard! Finally...it only took 4 days with exchanging, fixing and attempting to get the damn thing started.

Hey, this is more exciting than my work life okay? Yes...I need to get out more, I know.
