Today is the release of GTA4 (yay :))

And I am faced with a problem.

£50 odd pound for it on the Xbox360,

Or

£299 to get a ps3 and the game.

Main thing I wanna know is, Is there actually any difference in the games at all?

And will one be better than the other?

I'd go for the PS3 if you can afford it, but that's just my personal preference. I've always liked playstation better than xbox.

I'm waiting for the slimmer version this fall. Plus, all 360's are defective. Just wait until it starts ruining all of your games. A friend of mine is on his fifth.

Game has it for 39 just though ya might want to know. They'll deliver it to your door for that price too!

It all depends on your preference. Do you like the PS3? Are there other games on the PS3 that you also like? Do you plan to eventually get a PS3? If you answered yes to any of the 3 questions, then I say go with the PS3 and game combo. However, there are alot of rumours aboot the 360 version having some added downloadable content. Rockstar has said that this is a dream rumour, but all rumours have at least a little truth. If you can do withoot the game for a couple of weeks to a month, you may want to wait...

WHAT!? They seem to like the PS3 version a bit better. That is amazing. Most side-by-side comparisons I have ever seen have always busted on the PS3 version. Pretty informative video, though.

The answer is yes. Buy the game.

As to the console situation, this apparently isn't the game to make that decision with, unless you want to play multiplayer with your friends and they play on the PS3.

Just a heads up in case you want to get the PS3 version, there's apparently a bundle coming out in the UK for GTA IV. Check it out. I know, I know, it's a 40 GB, but still better than nothing.

Personally I'm going for the 360 version as I have a 360. I think there will be more people online (to begin with at least) on XBOX.

The gfx don't bother me. But as I played the sports game that came with it, I was amazed and appreciated the technology of the wand and nunchuck...but I realized i would not use the Wii unless other people were around - it is definitely a social event, which is great, but am I willing to pay $$$ for that? For something that will only get played when other people are over...to me it's not worth it.

GTA4 is cool. i wish i have the oney to get it. u get to fly a black hawk. i luv those helos
