I'm just wondering if there's guidelines one this. If you know someone has multiple user accounts BECAUSE the first was banned for poor behavior (ie, spamming, trolling, disrupting the community), what do we as a community feel is the right action to take?

My feelings:

If someone is banned for spamming, comes back, learns the rules, and plays by them, welcome.

Trolling and disrupting, I have less patience. If the rules have been explained, and they don't change their behavior, I'm in favor of treating the 'return' harshly.

I'd like others opinions on this, and then maybe something we can add to the FAQ's regarding creating multiple accounts.

If they've learned their lesson and matured than I don't care what their previous misdeed was. We allow them to become Plimates like any other.

I'd like to have them all drawn and quartered

Chez could draw them, then we could create a thread and post their images like those deadbeat dad billboards. Or like the perv posters in Walmart.

Once upon a time, I was banned.

I think I remember my first post being a dupe and that is what I think dropped me down to a 0.

I think it was healthy. I made my new account (I like this username better, anyways), and now I check and double check my posts to make sure they're not dupes. It made me a better Plimate. If they come back with that intent, to be a better Plimate, then awesome. If they come back with a grudge and to be a pain in the ass, I trust in the community enough to know they won't be around long.

I think Maven is mainly referring to users like Kennedy, BarryBurton, CrackCorn, etc that keep trolling the chatroom. They keep making new sn's and coming back to continue trolling. It's really getting out of hand in there.

Barry has made efforts to clean up his act and contributed 'something' to the site.

Kennedy exemplifies a troll.

They come to Plime just to use the chat room during lunch time or down time while at school. As to why they don't just use some other site like myspace/facebook/whatever is beyond me.

Most schools block those sites.

Trolls only return if they're fed, they're looking for a fight and will return as long as they know they'll be given one.

Maybe we could make a Chatzy room just for them? Not the Plime room, but maybe a new one since they can't get on Myspace, etc and they want to chat ever so badly.

i find that hard to believe ... i'm convinced that barryburton and kennedy is the same person. i say this, as every time i see both of them in the chatroom, they enter and exit at the same time. it could be possible that both are in the same class or whatever, but it's still impossible for two seperate people to log out of a chatroom at the EXACT SAME SECOND.

I totally agree with you, 2many. If they were idiots before and were trolling, spamming, disrupting or what have you, then they should have been banned. If, however, they come back and have learned their lesson, they are welcome as Plimates.

Kennedy has got to go, he should be permanently banned from Plime, and have his internet use taken away, as well as his right not to be stabbed by Jeremy.
