I noticed several categories have new colours. It's nice to see things changed up!
I went to edit the colours for the geology category, as the current ones make me a bit nauseous and aren't geology at all, but I noticed that you now must be level 99 to edit it.
Since the users who were previously discussing changing category colours (Mershaullk and Doggylives, I think) aren't 99 karma, I was wondering how you guys managed to circumvent this 99 requirement to change the colours?
I also noticed that I can change the "science" category colours fine and dandy. Is this a bug, or does someone not want a geologist to edit the geology colours?!?
First of all, there's a geology category?!!! okayyy. I never knew that.
I've just gone into edit colour in the Geology category and it'll let me change the colours. I always thought you had to be over 20 karma doodle points to edit category colours, not 99.
It is not easy to get to the edit colors section for that category, but I was able to finally reach it. However, even though I am >20 karma I get an SQL error saying Permission Denied on line 5535 when I try to actually save color changes.
Plime is an editable wiki community where users can add and edit weird and interesting links. Users earn karma when other users vote on their actions. The more karma you have, the more power you have at Plime.

I get the same error message but it turns out it made the changes anyhoo... Go figure.

I'm pretty sure that that error happens every time you try to change the category colours. It doesn't actually affect anything. The colours will still change.

Is it just me, or is everyone curious what the scientifically correct colors for geology are?
It reminded me of this thing (I forgot the word for it, will come back to that later...) where a person mixes up his or her senses, so they smell colors see sounds etcetera.
I think LSD can make you do that :)
edit to add: duh, synesthesia is the word...I'm slow today

There aren't any scientifically correct colours for geology, but some colour schemes just feel better than others.
I had designed something that reminded me of mapping. Some geology maps look like the box of crayons went crazy on the map.
But the old scheme of peachy-grossness and green just felt wrong for geology. It felt like I was stuck in a mid-90's dining room.
«Moe : I will be offended if you change my colors that are PERFECT. I will be so offended, I may go into the corner and cry for my mommy and pee my pants.
