« donteatpoop : Just for clarification, Anky (and long time no see, by the way) Jax said scavenger hunt. Much discussion and thought was put in about how this might actually put off new users if we could only post the daily theme, so it became optional as like an 'added bonus' or something. Then we discussed a weekly theme, sort of the same idea but a week of it and a more complex theme (hopefully) than the dailys.

Ie, daily ideas were "yellow" "pinata" etc; wheras the weekly theme ideas were "temptation" and... uh... some other stuff, I forget.

Both ideas, I believe, will be in play.

Temptation has begun.

Ah thanks for the update DEP. Yeah I've been gone for a while, busy as usual haha.

I agree with not forcing too much onto people in terms of posting limits. I know my dad (Rambler) even said that he can't be bothered to 'search for links' every time fitting a theme. In a way it can be fun, like a game. I know this isn't the thread to discuss the 'changes' but I thought I'd voice it anyways. And besides, I can't be bothered to read through that entire thread.

It was a long thread, I hear ya.

I agree though. It can certainly add a new element to the site, but I don't think making it mandatory would in any way benefit the site. As an added feature, an additional source of entertainment/fun, it's a fantastic idea. But as the only thing going on it would be more of a detrament, I think.

I might actually post some things for these themes, by the way; so it's probably going to get me more active in posting.

That will definately go for me too. I love looking for things when I know what I'm looking for. But in terms of "stumbling upon" (pardon the pun) stuff, it's not my thing. I'm usually lagging behind haha.
