I was really hoping for some nice kitties. Especially seeing how I don't have yet an avatar made by you.
*ehem*

that being said, I will try various suggestions given to me, I'm going to start with the self portrait though.

Chexmix, my love, I'd like to give you some very difficult advice. You're not going to like this advice, but I feel that it is necessary.

Put down the bong. (or blunt or joint or bowl or whatever)

Remember when you first smoked up and applied the euphoria of your high to your artistry? Remember how it would almost draw for you? Remember the last time it did that? You've become dependant on it. Put it down for a while. You won't have anything for a view days, and then you'll start to feel alive again. It's hard to explain what "feeling alive" means, but I get the impression that you might understand. And it will be amazing.

You will be able to take back control. You will be able to draw again, driven by emotions (remember those?). Resist the urge. Remember when you reach for the bowl that it is only a craving, like wanting chocolate. You are not addicted, you don't need it.

You can do this, chexmix.

Sorry if this pisses you off, but I went through a similar block for a long time and it depressed the f**k out of me, and this is exactly what it was.

Now days I still smoke on ocassion, and I still apply it to my writing; but I no longer rely on it the way I used to.

If the other tips you have been given do not work, please try what I have said.

Love ya. Hope this helps.

Hey Chez

Have done scribble drawings. You make a scribble and you turn it around untill you see something to draw and then draw it.

It works for me.

actually hon I never draw when I'm high. I tried once but it came out looking like crap :P
That being said, it's been like 3 weeks since I've smoked. My hook up is out of town and I don't know anyone else here.
But I appreciate your advice :)

i tend to browse through online galleries, like deviantart new submissions and manga revolution first level members. though, i do that more when i need encouragement about my drawing abilities, more than to get out of an art block ...
