*tshirt fabric will curl really easily into yarn when you stretch
*stretch it tight and it evens out some of the uneven cuts
*I should have tried with a shirt that wasn't navy blue-boring
*good exercise for biceps
*not a good thing to do if you have carpal tunnel syndrom
*can lead to blisters

*goes to look for fabric*Oh, a tip for anyone trying to make it: Sew the strap on before you sew the bag bottom/sides completely together.
Turns out that tutorial never had a place for "sew the straps to the bag," and just wanted the straps basted on. I wanted it more secure, so I had to sew the straps on...which was difficult because the bag bottom was already sewed closed. Chain mail cube. It's about an inch square and has several hundred rings packed into it. I use it as a key chain.

This is one of my favorites and one of the hardest I've done. It's a helm chain wrapped around a bead. The weave was very tight on this one and I could barely get it closed, but I really like the results.
