Do you guys get the little popups in the lower right when you Take a Mission? All I get is the first page and no popups. I have tried to take many missions, but it fails every time.

Yes, I do, although some of them seem to loop (the >>next button taking you to the same page over and over) and some of them seem to fail (directing you to a pop-less page)
But most of the ones I did worked fine.

I've found that any mission that takes you to a youtube page fails miserably. Somehow youtube doesn't like to play.
Moe, some pages take a while for the mission box to pop up, I guess it's so you read the page rarther than blindly clicking through to complete the mission.
Anyone know how to make an aquaintance?

I think you send them a message. BTW I mined this page...did anyone notice?
EDIT: I found out how. Click on Players at the top of the page, them find them with the search engine. The results will give you three option to add them.
