The Dungeon Runners Beta is open, but invite only. I got in from another forum, they started a 'referral chain', and I figured I'd start one here. If anyone is interested, post or PM me your e-mail address, and I'll send an invite to you. I only have 2 open right now, as you can only send out 4 at a time, and two of the people I sent it to got multiple invites, so I have to wait for those to expire.
When the game gets released, it's going to be free, but unless you pay the $4.99/mo. membership fee, you won't be able to use the better items, and your health/mana potions don't stack.

I do, but unfortunately they have moved out of the totally free beta period. The model that they have in place now, and going forward is that you can play for free, but you do not have access to the better items. E.G. the health potions you can get don't stack, taking up more space in your inventory, a _lot_ of the items that you find are members only, your inventory itself is smaller.
For the time being, you still have to be invited to play, even though now to access all of the items you have to pay the $5 /mo subscription.

I'm not too sure I would recommend this as a subscription based game. My experience with MMOs is limited, and the only one I've spent a considerable amount of time with is World of Warcraft. Dungeon Runners has only enough story to send you out killing monsters. There's no real reason to interact with other players. About the only thing to do is kill, kill alot, not die, kill more, save money, buy more skills so you can kill better, kill a certain number of this kind of monster (that's about as deep as the quests I saw got), Kill this one boss monster, go to the next area.
Like Diablo 1 the classes lack much distinction. You buy spells for your own class, and you can buy skills from other classes, but they won't be as potent as if you were the class to whom the spells belong. Really the way it is set up, I wouldn't be surprised if by now even there are 300 people with the exact same class with the exact same skills, using the exact same equipment.
I'd really say that you'd be better off shelling out another $10/mo. and paying for a more fully realized MMO, or even paying $50 once to get one of the three Guild Wars 'flavors'.

Thanks for the info. I got to try it out last night and it is kinda fun. It does remind me of Diablo and the paid model may not be for me just yet. That said, I really did enjoy the grind w/o all the blah, blah, blah before you can see any action.
It seems like it would be really good for people who love WOW but don't like the role-playing aspect of the game. And through the way skill and stat distribution is setup, it does actually give you alot more choices than WOW does for character development--although they may turn out to be really bad choices by level 99.
