I would imagine that several Plimates have met ootside of the confines of the internet, (i.e. in real life) and may have a neat story aboot their meeting to tell and this thread was made just for that. Well, I have one of those stories and I would like to share it with you now.

I attended a festival called WonderFest this past weekend like I have for the past 7 years and I found oot that another Plimate *cough*Rowangrey*cough* has also attended this convention for some time now as well. We made plans to get in touch and meet up at this festival. Well, since I was completely soused and didn't even think aboot charging my cell phone battery the night before we planned to hook up, I had no way of contacting said Plimate.

So, I decided to wing it and try to locate her by doing a simple remember-what-she-looks-like search in th dealer room. I decided to start at the model tables and take pictures while I was there. After aboot my 20th shot a friend of mine came scurrying up to me and said, 'You won't believe what just happened!' I looked intently at my pal and he began to explain the situation. He began:

We were walking around the dealer side of the room and just perusing the goodies amongst the tables and we over heard some dude ask his sexy assistant 'well, do you at least have punthe's number?' She looked at him and said 'yeah, I tried calling and left a message.' So, we walked over to the table and asked are you looking for punthe? She said excitedly 'YES!' I told her wait right here and I will get him for you. So, let's go you silly b*****d so you can meet her!

On our way to the table where RG was waiting patiently my friends concocted a plan to 'build me up'. My cousin walked to the table first and said to RG, 'An associate of mine told me that you were interested in taking a meeting with punthe?' (as if I was an important figure amongst the festival goers) She seemed to get a kick oot of that and right as I turned the corner and headed to the table I received the where-the-hell-have-you-been-you-jack-ass gesture.

I approached the table with tingles running down my spine as this was my first ever meeting with an actual Plimate and I was pissing with excitement. She met me with a comforting handshake and hug. It totally made my weekend.

As I skimmed through the many, MANY amazing drawerings and sketches that her hubby had worked so hard on (heh heh, I just said 'hard on') I found the coolest sketch that her husband had done of Tony Soprano. It had it's own little bit of humour to it and I knew it had to be mine. She set it aside so that I didn't have to worry aboot it being destroyed back at my room by all of the drinking and craziness that was bound to ensue with 6 men sharing a mid-sized suite with limitless amounts of brew-ha-ha.

We then shook hands once again and parted ways but not before we made plans to hook back up later in the evening for some Sushi. It was by far my coolest experience ever at WonderFest and I can't wait for next year when we can do it again!

NOTE: I was also supposed to see RestlessChicken there as well, but my lack of cell phone communication prevented that. Maybe next year, eh!

I've yet to meet a Plimate irl (save Aggie, but I introduced her to Plime, so that doesn't count), but I definitely want to see some of you guys!

Meeting another Plimate is a regular occurance with me! In fact we share a bed, a home, have three kids. What's the big deal?

It would be cool to have a SoCal Plime Get Together (if we can fit it into our busy schedule). We are right in the middle of San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire.

Punthe is the nicest sumb***h you'd ever want to meet. :) I totally felt at ease with him instantly. And did I mention smexy? Yes, despite his Canadian roots, the punthe has managed to acquire some smexiness about him. Hee, hee! I'm pretty sure he single-handedly managed to keep us from being kicked out of the Japanese restaurant!

And, yes, that is a kitty hat with ears I'm wearing. It's my favorite hat.

I of course live with Clscott, and I have met Muppetmaker. He came to our July 4th party. The following day, he and Clscott went to AC while my IBS kept me home (ugh) That night around 10pm we were trying to figure out what to do, when I suggested we drive to the Super WalMart (about 30 minutes away) to get ice cream and Oreos. We bought that and a new DVD, then came back and pigged out while we watched a movie. It was awesome.

Then she bought me a Chai at Starbucks and we watched a water show. Then she guilted me about the Chai and I ended up paying for parking because I felt bad.

Well Jerry and I met long before Plime (we dated for 5 months...oi vey). And then didn't speak for almost 3 years. I really would like to meet some Ohio Plimmates soon. Any of you Ohio freaks want to get together one weekend and just chill out at a resturant or something? :-D
