I'm curious, How did everyone come up with their handles? Do they have a story? Special significance? Clutched out of thin air? Do you have any additional aliases?

I'll begin.. If you don't know Dr Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. Get thee to a nunnery. Or a whorehouse.. Seems to have the same effect on me. At any rate the film is a classic in our family-family. I'm sure (like Spies like us) we can probably quote the whole movie, and yet, I'm not sure I'm even half as bright enough to get to want to try and understand most of really a whole quarter of it, you know? youknowyouknowyouknow? (cackles with glee!) 'One would only need the will!'

But there is one part, I get... I mean I GET. There, in his polished leather and chrome wheelchair, eyes glistening maniacally, absentmindedly stroking his prosthetic claw, is my alter-ego. Especially when he starts talking about a post apocalyptic 'Joy Division' and lunges from his chair his heart bursting with... um.. see thats where I loose him. But it still feels good to lie back at night contemplating a Complex series of Belly-bombs. Basically if I could manage to be as sane as that guy on a daily basis, I could really get some stuff accomplished.

'..preserve your precious bodily fluids, captain Mandrake.'

Other aliases...

Vulgo Turner, Ghetto Blaster, The juice loosener, JJ's dynomite dealer, *--------*, Bill, Dj Bucksalot, Cloud Chamber, ..your daddy. :)

I'm a wingnut. That's pretty much it, really.

At least, that's what I tell everybody.

OK, I'll admit the true origin of my name... it started with an online pro wrestling role playing game. I created a character who was a lovable psycho that went through life with a "What would Bugs Bunny do?" attitude. (Thus my avatar.) I named him Wingnut, because he was a nutty guy. I'm slightly less nutty, but I adopted the name for my username shortly afterward.

When I join another site and can't use "Wingnut" (there seem to be a lot of wingnuts out there), I go by "WingnutZero". Because if my name's not available, the site usually asks if I want to be "Wingnut6235" or something like that. One day I responded "Why don't I just be WingnutZero then?" And it's worked on every site I've tried it.

Former aliases include: DemonAegis, Beer Wolf, Talamasca, Radikill, and His Royal Holy Highness Pope Wingnut the Only

So there ya go.

I named myself after my nickname. Or the other way around, I can't remember.

Username creation system in a network I worked at, 2 letters of your last name + 3 letters of your first name.

You would have to change your name to something else of course. In that case "Alfred", "Alphonse", "Alapalooza" or "Alcatraz" would be acceptable.

Whaaayyyyyy back in my school days, some friends and I decided to disfigure the liner of a certain album that we all liked with our names labeling one of the different multicolored frogs. I, and another were both the blue frog, one was the yellow, and we decided to name the green frog "Carlos and Pedro the homosexual incestuous Siamese frogs"

Flash forward 11 years, and I'm still using it.

Under the articles the handles are in small font; for a while I thought it read "Bombad" (bomb ad).

lol well mine has quite a bit of history so i will try to make this brief....

my best friend and I started having BBQs last summer and began calling them Tend3r BBQz...that spurred into us joking around and calling ourselves the Tend3r Ho3z. well that name caught on and whenever we would go out to clubs the MCs started yelling on the mic "TENDER HOEZ IN THE HOUSE!" because it was summer we started wearing booty shorts with the words "TEND3R" written on the butt.

soon we added some more girls to our lil troop and began holding fund raisers for musical events which lead to us being spokespersons for Bay Area Drum and Bass (DnB is a style of electronic music). that has lead us to doing fundraisers for several women and childrens organizations

so the T3ND3R name kinda stuck with me...i took off the HOE part because i didnt want to convey the wrong message since that part was more of a joke amongst friend...i use the name T3ND3R on a few message boards and as my gamertag when i play online games ^_^

the end.

Just a DJ term. Twins being turntables.
The referal to 'Drum and Bass' pretty much answers.

Edit -
T3ND3R you like DnB too?
This place just gets better and better. Thought I was alone in the Bass arena here.

Me three!!!! :D

I also sometimes indulge in a lil hard house . . .

My SN is from . . . Wait. I don't know. I've had it for at least five years. It's my username on EVERYTHING (except for stuff I've had for more than five years. Those got "wheelah") I think someone was probably getting mad or frustrated with me because I didn't like something that they liked, which is just rediculous, cause that's their personal opinion, and I'm not them.

 Bandit

It's actally short for No Key Bandit. I went on a motorcycle ride on the blue ridge parkway a couple of years ago with some member of my motorcycle club. I had trailered my Suzuki Bandit to our jumping off point. I drove for hours and then spent the night. When we got up the next morning, I found that I had forgotten my key. Therefore I earned my nickname. I use "Bandit" here because I am lazy.

Tried to sign up at AOL in the early days. TomFoolery was taken so I substituted the "ph "for the "f". Back then, you were limited to 10 characters on AOL so I had to take the "e" out. Voila!

Tundramonkey? It all started 5 or 6 years ago. It evolved as a result of me eating nothing but bananas for 3 days straight (long story, but it was to prove a point). At first it was just 'monkey' after that, but because we were up on the tundra it evolved to tundramonkey. That part came after I started throwing mud at my field partner and shrieking like a monkey. I'd been at work for 14 weeks straight. I was going a little nuts. You really can't blame me.
