Garnier Fructis: Girl shampoo, or is it morally correct for guys to use it too?

My boyfriend and I both use it, and this weirds me out for some reason.

Their commercials have girls and guys in them. The girls have freakishly long hair.

I don't see anything wrong with a guy using the shampoo. It comes in a green bottle which is considered a gender-neutral color.

I would feel weird using it, because it is usually marketed towards women.

That being said, I use their "surf hair" so, I don't know if I have any room to talk.

Please refer your "boyfriend" here so that we, The Plime Real Men may kick his ass.

Guess you'll have to kick my ass too then, I use the Costco size ones. Shampoo and conditioner.

To remain on topic; No I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it's just shampoo, get over it.

The point is being clean. And sharing with your honey is good. So, yeah.

Some guys may have an advert reaction to smelling 'froo froo' which some girl shampoos actually do.

We use 2-in-1s. I need more moisture for my hair and I use a high conditioner content than my husband who uses a different one because of his hair.

So, if your guy doesn't mind smelling 'froo froo' and the shampoo you are using helps his scalp as well, then I don't see why not.

It will cut down on the cost of buying 2 shampoo bottles, you get to share with your honey (which also saves water) and every thing is good.

Besides from us, who is going to tell by looking at the both of you (when you walk out on the street) that you guys share shampoo?

People generally don't get close enough to smell each others' hair in everyday life. But, I have a tip for the single girls trying to figure out if someone is married or not.

My husband's clothes smell like my favorite fabric softener, Mrs. Meyer's lavendar scent. Mmmmmm. Chances are, if he smells like fabric softener, he's married.

Just enjoy the fact that he doesn't smell like a wildebeast and leave it at that. If he can use a fruity girly shampoo without getting worried looks from his guy friends, then go for it.

Haha, thanks everyone, but I'm just throwing it out that I'm 16 and don't LIVE with my boyfriend or share his shampoo; I found out he used it the other day in passing conversation.

so you're saying he went shopping with his parents and actually picked out this shampoo on his own..? or maybe he was just too lazy to pick out his own so uses what his mom buys.. 2 very different situations..

My mom used to go do all the shopping when I was in high school due to me being a guy and not wanting to go shopping with her so I would end up using bar soap or the country apple stuff she bought from bath and body works.. plus I was kind of broke in high school and would rather spend my allowance on beer or food than shampoo.. however I dind't have a father around to steal the stuff that he would use.. if that is the case that his father has something more manly and he still chooses to use the girly stiff.. maybe he just likes the way u smell and it reminds him of you, lol.. kinda an awwww situation, and weird at the same time
