So McDonald's Monopoly has started and I thought of something interesting.
The company could successfully prevent people from winning if they only delivered certain pieces of the game board to different parts of the country.
So here is the deal. We all play as a community, and if we win we split the winnings even.
If you submit to me a valid game piece code, (hold onto the pieces, you never know if we may win), then you are entered into the pool.
The more people who keep entering, the more of a chance we get to winning.
So, go to McDonalds, get game pieces, PM me the code, I will make a list of the game pieces and bold the ones we have, and under that I will make a list of the people who have entered.
What do you have to lose? Other then the size of your thighs?

What if we collectively won something that couldn't be split, like a car or a free Big Mac?

« lynxears : What if we collectively won something that couldn't be split, like a car or a free Big Mac? The car either goes to the Plimate who contributed the most game pieces, to a Plimate who needs a car, or we can sell the car and split the money.
The Big Mac goes to the participating Plimate who's birthday is up next.
Sound good?

Sound good? No. I'd rather we cut the car into slices, so everyone could get a piece. Same with the burger.
I kid. Yoo has a good answer.

If I am a winner, I will use my share of the money to suction off all the fat those nummy fries are going to put on me.

The prizes are all cash this year.
And just an FYI you can always take cash instead of the prize.
When you win something big they are more then happy to give you cash that equals the cost of the prize for them... aboots.
Yay for working in Promotions for a radio station.

These get done on various forums every once in a while. They fall apart as soon as people figure out basic math.
There are a very few, as little as 1 of one of the properties in the group. There are 1E+802 of the other tickets.
Most people will get tons and tons of the non-rare properties.
The person with the one single rare property doesn't need another player to contribute the other common tickets. S/he will have multiple copies.

I am totally in with anyone that participates $50-$1000000...(and 2many has to pay the taxes on it) I play every year and end up with 2 of each property and a need for dialysis from all the MCD's. Time to stick it to the man...clown?
got:
black- Arches Ave
green- N Carolina Ave
red- Indiana Ave
orange- St James Place
However, I reserve the right to exclude you all from any winnings from the online version of the game, as well as instant winners that include, but are not limited to: 25% off Lady's Footlocker Coupons, $1000 shopping sprees, and Free chicken sandwiches.

If I actually ever went to McDonald's, I'd participate for sure! I was thinking about during the promotion putting the price of a burger in a jar each time you fancy one and then seeing whether this jar contains more or less money than the aggregate Plime pot.
In principle it would work out except that like you I would have an empty jar.

I saw a thing on Dr Phil and the same issues on the game pieces apply here. They were referencing instant lottery tickets.
Let's say there are 4 big winning tickets.
We make our purchases based on the fact we want to win that big money.
Now, perhaps the four big winners have been sold already, but you are not told before you buy a game piece and they still continue to sell every last ticket on the spool. (burger, etc....)
Would you buy that ticket, big mac, etc, if you knew you didn't have a chance at ALL to win the big grand prize?
Me? Not so much.
But, in the spirit of MM thread, if I get a big game piece and anyone here has another, I would be willing to negotiate.
My whole point here was, a better part of gambling is rigged and we really have no clue what prizes are left available.
I don't buy instants anymore.
