while searching a do follow social bookmarking site i found plime.com but the condition is that you have to make some stars so i tried to get stars.

What do you hope to get out of Plime? Are you purely interested in promoting links you have a vested interest in or do you wish to share others links and join in with the community.

The reason for the questions is that 90% of new members only want to link to their own blogs or post links for SEO purposes. Plime is not for that. Plime is for likeminded people to share interesting links with each other.

If you are here to advertise something then please contact the site owner who I am sure will give you some good rates.

Because that's how you get to know people. It's called conversation starting.

Why so defensive?

i know plime.com is used to communicate with people and share interesting things with each other..... i think all other persons share interesting things to get more traffic to their content or sites...!!!! (i know all are here just for site promotion or get credit yourself..don't be shy)

Many persons do this job directly and others do indirectly.

I don't think you're going to fit in here if that's your idea of what this site is.

I don't have a website so how exactly can you justify saying that "all are here just for site promotion"?

I visit Plime daily to find interesting things to look at and also to communicate with the people on here, many of whom I would call friends.

Is that concept so alien to you?

My Twitter account is also a way of communicating with my friends, an experience which is ruined by the constant stream of people following me and attempting to get me to view their blog.

Don't you realise that what you are doing with the internet is one of the most annoying and biggest pains in the ass I have ever encountered?

You and others like you have turned the internet into a s**t tip full of rubbish that no-one wants to read but has thrust down their throat on a daily basis.

If your website had anything worth looking at then surely people would take the trouble to find it rather than have you shoving it in their faces?

You still don't get it. You cannot share YOUR content. We do not allow self promotion. I'm suspecting you want to post your own blog here to increase traffic to it. I will say again if your blog was any good then it would be creating a lot of its own traffic without the need for promotion.

In answer to you question; No we will not allow you share your content.

You may want to write up a piece about Plime on your blog, tell everyone that reads it that it is not a good place to go to get traffic for your own work.

If by some chance someone else comes across your blog one day and thinks it worthy, then maybe it will be posted on Plime and you will see traffic that way but until then you are not welcome here unless you follow the rules of the site, namely, no posting links to websites of your own creation.

If you click my name underneath my avatar it will take you to my profile page Then click the tab that says News. This will show you what I have posted here on Plime.

In fact do that with anyone on this page, hell do it with all of them.

You will see that our posts come from a wide variety of places; youtube, blogs, newspapers, BBC, Science journals etc.

This is what Plime is about it is about posting things which find while browsing the internet. Not forcing things we have created upon others.

But that's just the point. You don't want to participate in the site at all; all you want to do is post your links. In order to do that you have to put a little effort in. This site is not just about a collection of links. It is a community who discuss the links which have been posted and discuss other things in the forum.

If a collection of links was all that we were after we could go to google.

In order to be rewarded with the privilege of being allowed to post links you have to show us that you are willing to participate. Thus far you aren't doing a very good job.

Look around the site a bit, join in some conversations on other threads, make comments on links that have been posted (comments such as "that was interesting" or "good post" won't get you very far either).

Make a contribution and you will find that you will have enough karma to post links soon enough.
