Thats a very good idea and highly original stops people spamming and requires a bit of civility and manners that is in my opinion sadly lacking on the web these days.

I was thinking more of the poetry rather than the sense though.

It is not a place to promote your own work/site/blog. We share news links, links to interesting videos, images, etc. You earn karma when you post cool things that others vote up, and lose karma when you post things not allowed, or are rude. Increased karma means increased tools here on the site.
