What's a Plime Classic?
A "Plime Classic" a repost of an older Plime post that fills certain criteria. To be valid, a Plime Classic must be older than two months.
----Does it have to have been popular? Or overlooked?----

4, guess who. Well the FA-Q's were just a compilation of what was already discussed by everyone (all I did was put them together in one post), so I think upvoting the last one was like the upvote for the whole list.

When I rise a level in karma (as I just did from six to seven HA), does it apply my newest point to everything I've upvoted?

What is the time frame between original posts and the "dupes"?
A post is not considered to be a dupe unless it was posted in the last 30 days. Anything over 30 days is fair game. This does not mean that you are encouraged to simply resurface old posts. Quite the opposite, in fact. New posts are preferred, but if you happen to repost something that was posted more than a month ago, no worries.

When I first tried to sign up for Plime I entered my email address and username.I then received a error message saying the site would be back.I backed up and retried submitting, the next time I received a message saying that both my username and email address where currently in use.I tried using lost password hoping it would send me a new password but no go.How can I change the account I have now to my regular email address?

« unoriganl : How can I change the account I have now to my regular email address? In your account settings, choose the edit tab (default). Change your e-mail adress.
If that doesn't work (though it should), Jaxomlotus is probably the only one who can change it for you. He seems to be kinda busy these days, so I'd recommend you'd try on your own, before messaging him.
I never noticed that "message" and "massage" were so close together. Spellingwise.

« aoeu : I'm not him, but I do agree, especially because the entire rank system is, well, unorthodox to say the least. a good faq would go a long way to perhaps garnering more members (by reducing the learning curve, even though that term usually applies to video games?).
edit: hooray I have an icon for the first time since I found this site.

« Browntrout : Good ideas from all...
I was suggesting that a new thread be started that would hold the FAQ's in a more formal format as Hoosker suggested.
Bonsai's suggestion that we post/discuss them here first is also good. It would allow us to agree on answers before they're posted.
If Jax would like us to compile the FAQs then I think this would be a good way to get started pooling the questions and answers that are floating around throughout the forum.
DEP has started us off on the right foot and I like the bold format for the question.

I'd like to add to the Plime definition as follows:
What is plime? Plime is a "Wiki-like" user editable news aggregator. It relies on the power of online community participation to control it's structure and editorial content. It's also a great place to meet others with similar interests.
Here are some other questions (that may have already been answered)...
What is Karma?
What is that little number inside my star?
How often does my user rating change?
What can I do at higher user levels?
What are the scores on the Karma Leader Board?
How do I submit a link?
Why are good keywords important in submitting a link?
What is a "Dupe?"
What is the "Popular" tab for?
What is the "Deleted" tab for?
Why is the sky blue?
Is Elvis really dead?
