«madhatteraggie : I grew up listening to that song as well as Preghero, Vesti la giubba, Siamo Soli, Nessun Dorma, etc.
It helps having a father whose 100% Italian. I listen to Opera and know exactly what they're saying :-P.
Edit: Wait a minute, you had an Italian class in 7th grade? Lucky b*****d.
Yeah. I've taken a lot of Italian. Unfortunately I was never big into studying and it didn't sink in. I'm actually 100% Italian and an Italian citizen. I know... I'm pretty awesome.

Poco.
I took it in 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grade.
I didn't practice or study at all for a few years.
Then in College I started taking it again from Italian I. I did three semesters.
Like I said, I didn't study nearly enough and haven't studied since, but I've been trying to watch RAI a lot to see if it comes back to me. I can probably speak on a level somewhere around first or second grade.

Molto buono! Il suo piacevole per sapere che non sono il solo un che può parlare esso fra i miei amici.
When I was in junior high, a friend and I had a remedy for songs stuck in our heads. We would write the offending song down on a piece of paper and when we saw each other in the hall, we would pass the piece of paper off to the other person.
It worked too. It was like we gave it away or something and the song would stop bugging us.
One day he handed me a piece of paper and I looked at it and it said "Tea for Two". I laughed my ass off thinking, Tea for Two?? How in the hell did you get that stuck in your head?
