As I mentioned earlier I was quad biking again today. This was a jolly from work - a thank you for helping make the company one of the few that has increased profits in the current economic climes. Top Brass decided we rock and sent us off to a field to say thank you.

There was also shooting, playing with a digger and mud buggies. All of these are fun. Some things are more fun than others.

I was the only one who took a camera. People were worried about pansy stuff like "it might get broken"

So it was me holding the camera for most and I'm not in many of those pics.

I did manage to persuade someone to take a photo of me doing the shooting:

This next one was taken by me and is of two people that none of you know in mud buggies. You can't tell though so you could pretend. I was in the front one about 10 minutes after that.



Notice that the sunshine is bright, the sky is blue and the "mud" isn't that muddy. In fact it was hard and impacted or loose and dusty. I'm not sure if actual mud would have made them better but I felt they were a little lacking. And very, very painful. With softer ground they might not have jarred my spine quite so much.

Finally this is me, Facebook style:



I'd just clambered out of the mud buggy there and was covered in cement like dust. This is why I look so white and shiny.

Literally minutes after that I was off on a quad bike. These things are the awesomest and I was far to busy ripping around the circuit shouting such witty bon mots as "Woo!" and "f**k yeah!" to bother with taking photos.

I was quite gratified* that the instructor bumped me to the front of the group so that I could try and keep up with him rather than wait for the others to get out of my way.

I need a quad bike of my own.


*Just re-read that before hitting submit. Quite gratified? "f**king stoked" is probably more accurate. I'm new to this, I love it and getting that kind of validation was way cool.

I've got some Go-karting planned for next week, the nice fast 60mph ones. I've got to say though the mud buggies you've been driving look great fun. Mrs.DL drives those on her annual ladies weekend/piss up, got some great pics of her covered head to toe in mud

It has been a while since I have added a pic of myself. This is from when myself and a bunch of coworkers went out drinking a few weeks ago.

If you ever find yourself around Nice, France, ask around for the go-kart tracks in the area. There's some which have dual riding-lawnmower engines afixed to a heavy frame. You sign a waiver, and are securely locked into the cage.

These things are not lacking in any way, and the track is paved nicely.

I haven't put up anything in a while nor have I been as active here. I have been pretty busy with work and my endeavor with the band I am in. I am pretty proud of us. We put in a lot of hard work and time and now we are playing out almost every weekend. I figured I would share some pics with you all of what I have been up to lately. :)

LMAO, I couldn't understand what the heck you were saying! If you repeated yourself then you said it differently every time. Nothing sounded the same to me.
