He can't draw stars.

So I'll probably wake up with cartoon wangs on my face.

You're a sound sleeper! The CAT walks across me and I wake up.

My significant other decided he wanted to go for a drive.

In his truck.

By himself.

For the first time since his shoulder surgery, he can DRIVE.

Chauffeur duty is coming to an end!!!!!!!!!

I just saw Harrison Ford up close. He's filming the movie Morning Gloryin/around my office building.

Blurry picture later - security made us all stop taking shots.

« abandonedcouch : I woke up this morning and pulled up my tshirt to check my belly flab (part of my crazy girl ritual since I've started losing weight) to discover "I love you more than anything" written over top of my belly button in Sharpie.

Also, "Yummy!" written on one of my love handles and "You're so hot" written down the side of my leg.

Boy sure knows how to make my day great. :)
Mrs.DL would drop an ovary if I graffitied her in the night :)

A hummingbird came to my window, hovered within arm's reach for long enough for me to fall into a state of awe, entranced by this tiny, perfect thing of pure beauty, feathers green like jewels, hanging close enough to touch in the void just beyond my tiny little world.

I was overcome with a flood of emotions. I wanted to sing, to cry, to shout through my window at the top of my lungs that beauty exists. It'll all be alright, I wanted to scream. It'll be okay. Things will work out, in the end, and in the end, everything will be okay.

And then my cat puked on my shoe.

They even changed the name of the building from "Grace" to IBS for the duration of the film shoot.

The guys on the ladder just changed the building name.

I was running this morning at sunrise, and as I ran higher and higher up the hill the sun burst open out of the clouds and onto the landscape and turned all of the lenticular clouds into beautiful arcs of bright orange and made the rugged cliffs and mountains appear as walls of flame.

It was breathtaking* and I had to pinch myself to remind me that I actually live here and moments like this are a daily occurrence.

It doesn't work.

Just my opinion, but that movie failed, for me.

(movie spoiled below: )

Harrison Ford as a sociopathic killer fails completely (for me at least), mostly because he's still acting exactly like he's Doctor Jones.

He places no divide between his performances, he uses the same facial expressions, the same tone of voice, the same everything. This works perfectly when he's playing his usual Han Solo/Dekkard/Indiana Jones disheveled tough guy with a good heart and a better right cross, but here..

As a patient, if disloyal husband, he seems out of place, and sadly kinda boring.

As a cruel, heartless murderer, it just leaves a weird aftertaste - he's still Han freaking Solo and making no effort to conceal it, it's just that for some reason he's evil now.

For me, it did not work.

What did you think of his performance in Regarding Henry?

That one, I really liked.

This one... I dunno, it just felt like he wasn't interested in the role.

What turned me off from Harrison in that movie was how he completely engulfed Michelle Pieffer's face when he kissed her. It was like he had her entire head in his mouth.

Ew, just EWWWWWWW!

Since then, he just gives me the heebie jeebies and I can't watch him in a movie, interview on TV, nothing!

I had nightmares as a kid involving the Millennium Falcon landing in the strawberry patch in the back yard, and while I hid in a flower garden, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia and Luke raided my house and killed my family.

Guess I can see him as a psycho killer--just one that's very suave and cavalier as he's doing it.

For this reason alone, I refuse to see Harrison Ford in anything else other than Star Wars/Indianan Jones. To me, he is not versatile enough...

As an example, Arnold [In Terminator] was completely disgusting to me. In the next theater over, Arnold [In Kindergarten Cop] was completely adorable to me...

Some times, a person just fits the character without even trying...

And John Travolta in Face Off, just ruined future Travolta acting after that... Good thing I saw Pulp Fiction before Face Off
