well to be fair, Face/Off was an idiotic premise that the movie flat out refused to support.

It seems literally intended to be absolutely nothing more than a totally brainless action movie starring bullets, explosions, Nick Cage flipping out and John Travolta pretending to be Nick Cage flipping out.

Nick Cage didn't do that movie any favors in my opinion, he isn't nearly entertaining enough, no matter how much random screaming and ballistic gesticulation he throws into every damn movie he's in.

It was no Wicker Man.

Sometime late yesterday (I didn't see it until this morning), someone in my office put a note on the refrigerator in the break room. The note simply read:

"The 8th commandment of God - Thou Shall Not Steal".



So, I immediately put another note underneath it:


"The third commandment of Gandhi - Forgive and let it go."



and then, at the very bottom in small print, I put my all time favorite quote from Gandhi- “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”


I made myself smile today.
