« lynxears:Sparkling is creepy and wrong and when you have a vampire boyfriend who does that and stalks you and encourages you to be dependent on him completely....

You need to stop reading and go back to school.
and wants to kill and eat you.

don't forget that.

Harry-Potter-level sales, the series is about a sparkly f**king vampire that wants to kill and eat a "plain" woman that everybody loves and thinks is the bees knees, and how very much she loves him forever and ever and ever and they are soul mates who were made for each other and oh my god being totally subservient to a sparkly f**king vampire is just THE BEST EVER.

She loves him SO SO SO MUCH.

For wanting to kill her.

And eat her.

They sell this goddamned book to little girls.

Yeah, that's healthy.

Now you're on probation.

But you should feel lucky that I watched an anime just last night...

Check out the Studio Ghibli films, find out why Disney's so afraid of the company they own the exclusive American distribution rights to.

Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Pom Poko, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, anything you can find that says Studio Ghibli on it, try them.

Gorgeous, gorgeous animation and Marianas-trench-deep storylines, they're thoughtful, playful and absolutely brilliant.

I don't really care for much anime or manga (i grew up reading American and European underground comics), Ghibli produces some of the most incredible animated stories on the planet.

The stories themselves are never cut-and-dry, the heroes and villains are often interchangeable - not that they swap allegiances, just that as you watch, you come to realize that the people you assumed you should be rooting against are always, always shown to have complete and deep motives and driving forces, to the point where in my favorite of them, 'Princess Mononoke', by the end of the story you realize there were no villains at all, just a series of conflicting objectives and motivations.

Fair warning, all of these movies can get pretty intense at times, bordering in some cases on genuinely terrifying.

More fair warning, you may cry at the end of many or all of them.

I seriously thought that said PoRN Poko. A different film, I'd guess.

And those were all on my list of things I wanted to see, but Apex didn't have them with him. I'm not prepared for "Bleach" yet...

Bleach is pretty good, as far as action-adventures go. It's fairly deep and has some very solid characters.

Pom Poko is about Tannuki, mythical japanese creatures analogous to an entire race of sometimes-benevolent trickster gods. (also they have gigantic, beach-ball-sized testicles that are the source of their magic powers. I'm not making that up.)

Porn Poko would likely be the single most disturbing pornographic film ever committed to celluloid.

All the stuff you knew about sparkly vampires really made me have my doubts about you.

The anime knowledge however has redeemed you.

We went to the beach tonight to hang out, I kinda socialized and that was nice but what really made me smile was the sky; it was a dark maroon illuminated by violet blue stars, the clouds were pink and the water may have looked black but it gave the powder white sand an amazing contrast. I wanted to take it all in and paint it. Maybe one day. I saw two shooting stars as well, made wishes for my sister. Made me happy.

I think I might go back alone soon.

I'm puppy sitting my friend's 7 month old Pit Bull mix while she works her 24 hour EMT shift.

Nothing better than seeing 3 dogs romp and play. They haven't a care in the world.

Also watching two Rotties and a Pit, all the biggest babies in the world. No viciousness here.
