A webcam in Szentgotthárd, Hungary captured this curious bird looking into the camera. The webcam is set to shoot only one frame in every minute, so what are the chances?
That is a Great Tit (Parus major). The stripe running down its yellow breast and belly is broader in males than in females. This appears to be a female. Very common in Hungary. Breeds in deciduous woods, parks, farmlands, trees in hedgerows, or even in gardens.
It might be worth mentioning that "Great Tits show off their belly stripe, which acts as a badge of status, in elaborate displays". (Animal Signals by John Maynard Smith and David Harper, Page 6).
