Asking continued thoughts and prayers from my boss and his family. He was discharged home today after four days in the hospital, now missing 1/3 of his colon. In a week or so he'll know if he has to have chemo, we're all hoping he won't. Not long after he got home, his sister in Spain called and told him she has colon cancer too. When he was diagnosed he urged all 6 of his sibs to get tested, the only one that hasn't is the one that came to help care for him and his family. The pressure will surely be on her now. Anyway, good vibes are very much appreciated.

Being involved in Animal Rescue can really suck sometimes. You have to deal with idiot after idiot.

Today we were contacted by a feline rescue to take in a 3-4 month old Rottie puppy. The "owner" has bought 20 purebred puppies over the past 5 years, dumped every single one of them at shelters. So much that she has been banned from surrendering pets to any shelter in DE.

So, we say we'll take the puppy into our rescue. The stupid frickin' owner says "I'm not surrendering my puppy to a stranger, I'd rather dump it at a shelter". WTF???? The puppy can be euthanized at a shelter because 1) it's an owner surrender and there is no "hold" time because it isn't a stray that someone is looking for. OS's can be euth'd as soon as they walk in the door. 2) It's a Rottweiler and some shelters euth them right away period (the stupid BSL ordeal).

It's sad that people are so stupid and cold hearted. This woman needs to be bound and gagged and locked in someone's basement so she stops buying puppies that she dumps!!!!

Is she buying them, or does she have a b***h that she refuses to fix or monitor?

I agree...some people shouldn't be allowed to care for another life.

It's too bad there's no way of guaranteeing she cannot buy more puppies. It's also too bad there isn't a way to force her into some kind of psych evaluation or treatment or something, because that woman is nuts.

It's also too bad you live across the continent from me, because I know of a great place for a little rottie - here, at my house.

She's buying them. Right now, not sure if it's from Pet stores, or breeders. Probably not reputable breeders because they stipulate you return to them for any reason if you are relinquishing them.




Being involved in Rottie rescue, there is no shortage. Right now it's any rescue, purebred or all breed. The amount of emails we get a day whether from someone wanting to surrender, or from shelters, is astounding! The idiotic excuses from owners that want to relinquish make you ill. And that's all they are, excuses. It's so sad that people view pets as disposable like a piece of garbage or old worn out furniture.

Right now we are thinking of anything we can to get that puppy from her before she dumps her at a shelter. :(

Listening to some guys go on about their nagging b***hing wives, and it made me sad. partly because it seems to prevalent, partly because it reminded me of my mom (the nagging wife) and how much I hope never to become her, yet fear I will.

Should make you sad too that they publicly talk about their spouses that way too.
Such bad form.

Don't make fun of him Kero...he's invisible. You wouldn't make fun of someone in a wheel chair would you? Just because you and I are visible doesn't make us better. Remember, there for but he grace of God, go any of us.

Invisiblity is a disease. It isn't contagious, but it is hard to cure. And the more accepting we are of invisibles, the better off we all will be.





It's OK Hoosker. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Hold your head high. That is, if you can figure out which way that would be seeing how you are invisible and all.

Admit it... you were happy that you were not invisible this morning... you took a gamble at posting and you won... XD
