I shall drink copious amounts of glögg while eating the Norwegian delicacy lutefisk.

Then I'll puke.

i emailed the people who run the breast cancer site after 2many's comments ...
did not post it in the news thread as i do not expect anyone to see it there
--------------

this is the reply i got
GreaterGood.org (which is a 501c3 registered in the United States) donated
$3.4 million to charity in 2008 and the complete breakdown is available
at:

100% of all money raised from the pink button marked "Click to Give - It's
FREE" at The Breast Cancer Site (http://www.thebreastcancersite.com) goes
to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to support their free mammogram
program.

Further, any donation made through the Gifts That Give More program is
donated to charity. Again, unlike many other sites, no administrative fee
is taken and 100% goes to the nonprofit named in the Gift That Give More
certificate.

Further 3% to 30% of all product revenue goes to the site's charity
partners. Again, this is reported and managed through the nonprofit
GreaterGood.org.

If you have further questions about our charitable giving in 2009, I would
be delighted to talk to you.

Best wishes,
Rosemary Jones

well as tricks go it was really easy. just put some powder in the drier and leave it. oh and make sure to be there when she used it. she keeps the hair drier in the other room where my PC is ... some powder fell off the back of the drier - from where it sucks in air, but most stayed put. i tried it in the air first - was scared - if it burns or something - nothing like that. drier is working fine. wife was white. she was a good sport about it.

Paybacks can be a b***h you know. Might want to be on your guard for a while.

A long while. ;)

Pretty funny though. Man what a mess!

A non-internet savvy friend of mine has this bayonet from 1917 and wants to know how much it's worth...presumably to sell.

The sheath is mostly leather with some metal near the opening where the bayonet goes in. The bayonet itself is VERY sharp, and has probably actually been used to kill people...for whatever that's worth.

The other side

Near the opening of the sheath

Other side

Does anyone know about this sort of thing?

Have a look here. Looks like the bayonet may not be as collectable as the scabbard it comes in, depending on type and condition.

So I went to check on a contest for Mike's Hard lemonade. The contest had expired tho dammit.

So the website url is mikeshard.com.

Hmmm... really?

Then I go in after telling my real age and it says

"We've gone Pink not Soft".

Promoting a fund raiser for breast cancer.

What a way to put sexual inuendo into a breast cancer promotion.

or was that just me?
