« dingbat:Anyone know if Jax change to the upvote/downvote rule for anything older than 30 days was a rolling thing or 30 days from the date that the change was made?
As a rolling thing... so if something was posted 30 prior to today, it wouldn't be available to up/downvote...

So you only have 30 days from the posted date to up/downvote anything new/old

Reading Rita Manning's "Just Caring".

I thought Kant was bad, but...

I'm going to need to read Nietzsche after this just to maintain my sanity.

Went to the Farmer's Market and had some awesome churrasco and fried plantains. My tummy was happy. Oh and my mom spotted Patrick Dempsey. He's not all that McDreamy....

Also, an excerpt from her essay:

I see this disposition to care as nourished by a spiritual awareness similar to the awareness argued for by proponents of the women's spirituality movement. As Starhawk describes this awareness: "Immanent justice rests on the first principle of magic: all things are interconnected. All is relationship. Perhaps the ultimate ethic of immanence is to choose to make that relationship one of love, ... love for all the eternally self-creating world, love of the light and the mysterious darkness, and raging love against all that would diminish the unspeakable beauty of the world."

From all of my research, the cats will (even assuming I let her out in the house with the cats at all) try to eat her once. Then after being poked in the nose and mouth with quills, will leave her alone.

Or, they will get lucky and eat her once. Or injure her once. Seriously if you have cat(s), I would not get a rodent or any other related critter as another pet. Even if they "only" try and eat her once, isn't that enough for the poor little guy?

I don't ACTUALLY plan to let her out loose in a room with cats. If I let her out to play, the cats will be far, far away.

I wouldn't worry about the cats too much. Fuzz lived in mortal terror of my rat Lucy after one bite to the nose. She'd chase him away from his food and out of his cat bed.
