« dingbat : It may also cause problems for legit new users. As you say they may get shunted there and make a wonderful post and really make a hit with the community but while it doesn't work very few people will actually see the post and no-one can upvote it. More savvy new users will post somewhere else but some may think that as they have no response to the post that plime is not worth bothering with.
Luckily, there were 3 such users at most among the roughly 850 newbies who posted there.

I'm back from my trip to Orlando. My grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and renewed their vows. It was a beautiful ceremony. :)

Not sure... Here in Dallas, the avocados are pretty crappy, but in Houston they are a nice size... my mom buys them at the organic market...

I've noticed here in Seattle they look really nice, until you cut them open.
A lot of them are brown or black inside.

Fires. The early fires in California resulted in the loss of avocado trees, and even more avocados because farmers stripped unripe fruit to give the trees a better chance of recovering from the heat and the smoke damage.

This means you're seeing a lot more fruit imported from Mexico, Chili. Fruit picked for delivery to the states is picked at a less ripe stage so it can travel better. The further they travel, the more bruised and damaged they get.

I've been getting most of my avocados at the farmer's markets, so they're still pretty and unbruised inside...but they're pricier.
