Since the last math riddle was so popular here is an other one:
A machine works with two different coins, red and green. The machine gives 5 greens for 1 red coin, and 5 reds for 1 green. You begin to play having 3 green coins only. You win the game if you have the same amount of red and green coins.
What is the winning strategy if there is one?

Of course you can not get rid of any coins except by playing, and that will result in even more coins.

Put in all your green coins. Now you have 15 reds. Put those in. Now you have 45 greens. Put those in. Now you have 135 reds. Rinse. Repeat for about 6 hours. Now you have buried the entire building in red coins.

Walk away. You win.

Washing hand after picking up dropped turner: good!
Not drying hands afterward and reaching over pan of boiling hot grease: bad!

No bacon was harmed.

Correct.
Every time you play with 1 coin you get 5, so the total number of coins increases by 4. You started with 1 coin, so the total number of coins you have will always be an odd number.
