And I suspect that would not comply with the office dress code.
Depends on what kind of office you work in. From what I understand, the workplace where they make tarantula merkins is pretty laid back.

Someone kavetched when I wore crocs. I sit behind a desk and am so seldom away from my desk that the most often greeting I get is 'oh, you still work here? I never see you', but someone still was unhappy that I wasn't looking professional in the 45 seconds between opening the door and getting in to my office.

My work group has also been lectured about not looking professional when someone was wearing jeans instead of khakis.

So...nudity probably wouldn't be accepted.

2 more weeks and I'm in an office of my very own, anyway.

There's a fair in town. Again. It's supposed to be somewhat medieval-looking, but it's actually the same as all the other random bimonthly fairs except the stalls are lined with straw this time.

And it smells of horse s**t. I can smell it from here.

Time to don tights, knee-high boots, a frilly poufy shirt and go wenching!

Don't usually notice or care, but today I have noticed one word posts getting upvotes. I think that's dumb.

« maven : Define meat locker. The office in Wyoming would get down to 58. That's pretty darned chilly, and space heaters weren't permitted.

Here, coldest I've seen it is 65, and space heaters are approved as long as they meet specific requirements. Anything between 68 and 75 is workable, I have no problems putting on a sweater when I'm cold. But 80? That's sit-around-naked-with-my-feet-in-a-bucket-of-ice-water hot!

Well... you know me... anything under 70 is a meat locker...

I'm feeling my husband's hiring woes today. He's been working his ass off for two months, since one guy transferred out of their dealership. They replaced him, and the replacement quit (actually, just stopped showing up) after 3 days. They replaced her, and after two weeks had to replace that guy because he wasn't doing his job. So they replaced HIM. Today would have been this replacement's 4th day, and as of right now, the guy is 45 minutes late, with no call/no message, and isn't answering his phone.
What that means is that Josh has been working open to close, pretty much every day they're open (Mon-Sat), for about 8 weeks.

Someday, I hope to see my husband more than one day a week. And have him not completely exhausted on that one day.

Why is it that people think it's ok to not show up? Isn't the economy downturn supposed to encourage people to work harder to hold on to a job?

That sucks, though. I hope he gets some down time to rest and re-charge and be with his family again.

Work is causing alot of stress and angst.

And I'm in training this week and not even in the office and I can still feel the stress and angst.
