Meh. Thought so. Me too! Here ya go, have another. Imagine the cool little readout on the little level-up bar on your profile bubbling up eight whole points. Doesn't it make you feel good? Lol.
«ReBoot : Whee thanks Mr.P, your upvote gave me a levelup. Now wouldn't that little karma bar have been handy a few minutes ago? Oh, well. Here. 8votes for everyone.
Plime is an editable wiki community where users can add and edit weird and interesting links. Users earn karma when other users vote on their actions. The more karma you have, the more power you have at Plime.

The hair on the back of my neck is standing up right now!
"Yoink!" is an interjection sometimes used in English when stealing or otherwise taking something. It is considered non-auditory onomatopoeia. It can also be used as a slang verb for steal, as in "Someone yoinked my I.D. card!".
I look forward to some sort of indicator of how close I am to the next level - it could provide more incentive to find a decent post (or at least one the community will love).
Would it be better to show it as a percentage (% needed to achieve next level so far gained) or as a number (number of karma points needed to achieve next level)?

Numbers is preferred by me as well, but the way the old one looked was a little bar that grows as you get more points. I believe it was points based, rather than percent too.

Points. I like to see the numbers. "Points Needed: xxxx" or something to that effect.
«mrlolman : This may be a dumb question...but can you level down for being inactive? I just went from pee-wee scout to Big Boy, back to pee-wee.....
No. It's possible that you were teetering on the 3/4 edge and got some downvotes that sent you back to 3. Did you post a dupe or two? Say some offensive stuff? Downvotes would be the only reason to lose karma level.
