I have two tabs. The first is Wikipedia's random page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Randompage), so I learn a new fact whenever I load up the browser.
Second is my Google personalized homepage so I can check emails quickly, see some news headlines - that sort of thing.

Go to your profile page, click news, then "liked". Easy, though it does include your own submitted links.

Also, misterp, if you have Firefox, you can make it so whenever you fire up your browser, it loads with the pages you looked at when you last closed the browser - with forms in tact!

I have my personalised Google Homepage with all the interesting stuff:
- Spanish word of the day
- English word of the day
- Nasa pic
- Gmail
- Babelfish
- Joke of the day
- News

Most of the time I use the default google page. Sometimes about:blank
Internet Explorers home page is whatever it was by default, I don't use IE for anything.
