Just a few from this weekends St. Patrick's Day celebration in Springdale Ut. This is a small local event ...but a good time is had by all.

Any idea why she was included? She was from Coventry, which is just about slap bang in the middle of England. Her nudey-riding was all to do with unfair taxation in the Kingdom of Mercia.

In short, no link to Ireland at all.

Or was it just more about the parade than the tradition?

Both ,Springdale is a rather unique town in this State, The Laws there are not enforced as much of the rest of the state. Springdale sits at the mouth of Zion canyon and receives about three million tourist a year. Celebrations of all types are held there year round and everyone is not just welcomed but encouraged to join in the fun.
And alcohol flows very freely there. [hence ,why it is one of my favorite places.]

More precisely, marine layer. Sun has not yet set, but the marine layer has blanketed the area.

My little world, it's a funky place.

It's over-exposed and some of it as at a funny angle but there's beer in it and that counts for a lot.
