It's so much more handy than a giant tripod, great for those impromptu long exposures.

I've seen those... I always figured they were a cheesy gimmick. I may look into them more now that you suggest it.

Nice shots everybody--it's nice to see we have a lot of culture on this board.

Here is one of the first shots I ever took with my recently purchased (6 months ago) macro lens:

And this is my daughter Zoey holding her Grammy's hand. She was 7 weeks premature and about 1 hour old in this photo:

I think these might be the only deciduous trees for miles and miles; they only grow near streams like this one. I took this picture standing on a big rock.
