Personally, I believe in a higher being, and I used to be sure that it was God and Jesus, but as I got older, I just lost the faith. What are your personal stances? No nutters, please.

Been over this...

My stance on religion = I despise it.

My stance on faith = I respect it.

Me = agnostic

My stance on organized religion - I have no respect for it. They're all about power and politics.

My stance of other people's faith - I respect their right to believe whatever they wish.

I'm an agnostic. I accept the possibility of a higher being, but I think it's extremely unlikely that any of the current religions would be even close to knowing what it is. I believe that all the religions out there are 100% man made, some with help of mind altering substances, some without.

In my opinion, in general, participating in any sort of worship or rituals would be a colossal waste of time and effort. The time my neighbour spends worshipping his god on sunday morning I spend playing with my daughter. Any god who would think that my sunday morning was spent on less important activities than my neighbours is an egoistic, lowly creature worth nothing but despise.

Reminds me of philosophy book I read called Food of the Gods. Interesting read if you haven't already seen it.

I don't only think it is extremely unlikely, I'd also be extremely disappointed

I don't have problems with religions or the people believing in them as long as they are good people and don't hurt anyone. I'm not a religious person and don't really think about it. Just live my life and not worry about something that no one has any proof of.

Personally I'm an atheist, but looking at what's out there, nature based neo-pagan religions make the most sense minus the deity part to me.

The Native Americans and the Buddhist had it right. Respect the earth, it's resources and other living creatures. Live in harmony with the earth. We are just one part of a larger picture.

You can still live by this philosophy without discrediting science. They actually work well together.

If everyone followed this line of thinking, the world would be a much nicer place to live.

I'm a Non-denominational Christian who really tries to live by the 10 Commandments and the Golden Rule. Who fails sometimes, but gets back up and keeps trying. And I really try to practice tolerance, with a pretty good record except for the Westboro Baptist Church. I really fail on my toerance where they're concerned.

"The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I'm tearing up and throwing out with the trash—along with everything else I used to take credit for. And why? Because of Christ. Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I've dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. I didn't want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ—God's righteousness."
