Gets really hard around those center years. Funny how much most of them don't stand out at all, and yet there were probably furious debates about how one will bring America to glory or to ruin..

Yeah I can fill in about ten of them, then I'm clueless.

Wow, I'm ashamed! I knew from G.W. Bush backwards to FDR, then I got stuck. I knew from G. Washington forwards to Jackson.

I knew Lincoln was #16 and Grant was #18.

From there, I just guessed.

I'm sad to say that the only reason I knew where to properly place Van Buren was because of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer mistakenly flashes the gang sign of the "Van Buren Boys" gang. (The gang sign being to hold up 8 fingers, because he was our 8th president)

I knew a lot of them- aside from the obvious and the recent, I knew Teddy was our 26th, and that he took over for McKinley when he was shot so McKinley was our 25th. I knew Taft and Wilson, Lincoln and because of Lincoln I knew Johnson, but there were too many I couldn't place. I need to study, it's really one of those things we Americans should know.

I did a lot worse than I thought I would! And, in the end, I was also clueless about the middle years. I knew pretty much all of the prezzes back thru the early 1900s but that's it.

I wasn't perfect, but here are some hints...

Lincoln at 16...Johnson follows him (from TN, which is why he was put on the ticket during the divisive election) but before Lincoln is Buchanan at 15, who we pretty much know was a homosexual...

Before FDR was Hoover, who made the depression worse, and many people lived in 'hoovervilles' or shanty towns...priot to that are the dips**ts that helped the depression come about--Coolidge(30) and Harding(29)
