When baby Oscar was born without a heart beat his devastated parents and doctors feared the worst. The little boy had become so distressed in the womb that his tiny body had started to shut down. Medics began a desperate battle to save his life - but warned his mother Lucy Allen and father Stephen Rose that, even if he lived, he would probably have brain damage.

Awesome story! My second child was born one month early with the cord wrapped twice around her neck. She was purple. They gave her to me and tried to massage her to get her breathing. It didn't work, so they took her away, and they were talking in very hushed tones--nothing frantic like in ER--it was only a minute or two for me but it felt like hours. I couldn't imagine what this couple went through. But I do know their joy when they heard him cry for for the first time.

That is truly amazing. I can't imagine what that couple was going through in the hospital. I'm so happy that he ended up normal, and so adorable too!!!
