 A terrible way to die
A terrible way to die
Lucy, a Weimaraner, was hit by a vehicle... Apparently, the driver that hit the dog didn't stop, but several other people did, including a woman who volunteered to drive Lucy to the vet.

Another motorist, though, had other ideas.

Since no charges have been filed, the name of the person has not being released.

Honestly, though, that's sick. I hope charges get filed. What a b*****d.

and everybody at the scene just let him? if i was there, i'd have taken that hammer and taken a swing at the b*****d.

how often does one hear of an animal efficiently killed by a blow to the head with a hammer? i sure as hell haven't, but i've heard of cases were a hammer was used to cause horrible pain and suffering ...

That guy needs to be hit in the head with a hammer. That's the only appropriate punishment.

I don't understand why anyone would think this is the appropriate thing to do. If you're that severely retarded to believe that was helpful you should not be driving and you should never be allowed to handle any sort of tool.

That's just sickening. My best buddy, Jasper, is a weimaraner. They are wonderful dogs. I can't imagine someone doing that to him. If that happened to us, I'm afraid it might have been me that deputy had to shoot before it was over.

Twenty years ago my Samoyed got into a fight with a German Shepherd at a Ferry terminal and the Shepherd owner grabbed a hammer from his truck and aimed at MY dog with it. Maternal instinct does make you fearless and I did manage to prevent him from hitting my dog, but it was all a blind red spot in my memory. This brought it all back.

*I was able to stop the fight by telling my dog to "stop fighting"

what's with that eye for an eye justice? what that guy did was really messed up, but that kind of revenge doesn't make anything better.
by the way, there are worse things happening to animals that don't have the luck to be regarded as pets :/

That's true, but that fact doesn't make this act any less horrible.

First hit by a car, then by a hammer, then shot, there was no reason for all that.

How can somebody decide that the dogs future is to die at that moment, first of all they should've left the lady who volunteered to take the dog to the vet; second of all it was really brutal to grab the hammer and to hit it and why everybody just stayed and watched it...???

It's brutal!!!
