It may help if you imagine the beer or lquor commercial you see on TV is in fact for heroin. The latest Heineken ad with the walk in fridge is particularly nice for this.

They're comparing 6 packs to one-dose. Not a fair comparison.

If you're counting one hit as a dose, then youneed to count one beer as a dose. s**t, let's only count 22oz beers to make it more fair. Beer is still cheaper; unless you're drinking some really expensive stuff (admittedly many of the 22oz's that I buy are 7-10 dollars; but that just because I buy expensive beers).

You want to get more f**ked up, you drink/shoot up more.

This was not implied anywhere in the article, all it said was that it is now more accessible.

I have a problem with this though, I would think heroin would be a little harder to find then beer (even for someone underage).

You'd be surprised.
I'm not a drug person myself and I don't know many people who do more than smoke weed, but if I really wanted to I bet I could get a hold of heroin by Friday. Alcohol, not so much, of course it's always around, mostly on weekends, but it's harder to find a 21+ year old willing to risk it than it is to find a classmate who knows a guy who knows a guy... That's just my perspective as a high school senior.

I even know that one of the guys in my European History class is addicted to Heroin, and my area is no worse with drugs than you'd expect any other small city to be.
