The way this car's set up seems like a pretty good idea, since you could drive it to the story without using any gas at all, then plug it in back at home.
The question is: would you end up paying more in your electricity bill than you were paying for gas?
The problem with pure electric cars has allways been the way to recharge. I mean, it is nice to have one, but what if the battery is dead ? You have to recharge for hours !
Fuel cell technology would be ideal, since you can easily fill it with hydrogen.
The only problem with that is that hydrogen production currently is still polutant.
