For years, the red cross has been nothing more than a front for the elite members of vampyric society, too pompous and pampered to prey upon unwilling victims. The Red Crystal was adopted by the IRC to allow Isreal to join the Geneva convention. The Red Cross symbol was not directly concidered to be a "Christian" symbol but was created to pay tribute to the Swiss flag. (Where all this began).
Yes, the Swiss Flag was probably derived from a Christian Cross of some sort, as a cross of any sort is, for the most part.
The Red Crystal will probably not be seen much in the west as it is an "added symbol" not a replacement for the Red Cross or the Red Crescent.
