This is the third post of images of people - the vast majority of which look no worse, no odder, no stranger than you or I. Certainly no weirder than those posting and upvoting the collection of photos.
Haven't we been a*****es enough for one month? Do we really need to laugh at people because they don't look like movie stars?

moody? Wow. Okay. So it is "Cool" to point and laugh at people? It is cool to make fun of the pose some photographer made them do? It is cool to laugh at some children because they don't look like models?
I bet people would have a completely different attitude if their picture was posted. Not everyone that posts has movie star looks.
I would post your photo but you're much too pretty to make my point.
Plime is an editable wiki community where users can add and edit weird and interesting links. Users earn karma when other users vote on their actions. The more karma you have, the more power you have at Plime.

I see your point, as I did say that some weren't so bad. Did you read that part? I do think your anger is misdirected. Calling someone an a*****e for this post was interesting. I don't come to plime that often anymore and this is the only post I have seen like this...so spend your energy fighting crime or global warming or something. And, lighten up a bit.

I didn't call anyone in particular an "a*****e". I certainly didn't call Autumnlotus an a*****e. I may have downvoted the post because I don't think it is appropriate for Plime, but I upvoted the edit so no karma hit.
I said laughing at children because they don't look cool enough is a*****e behavior. I said "we" as in the ambiguous "we" meaning everyone and no one in particular were being a*****es.
There was no "anger", more disgust that so many would appreciate and participate in these posts - this being the third one in just a few days.
As I said, some of you - and the same at a number of other sites are laughing at people who look no better than they do. Are you really condoning such behavior? As you said most don't look bad, yet it is okay to laugh at them?
If I was to take images from the real you thread and post them around the net as "awkward photos" or "bizarre photos" or similar, I bet I would be brutally attacked by those people whose images I posted. And rightfully so.
Yet somehow, when I act as a decent human and point out that we shouldn't be laughing at children's looks I am the bad guy??
Actually, interesting enough, I chose the photo above as my favorite because I and several of my friends had hair like that in high school. I certainly did not laugh, I actually smiled, because it brought back memories of my own hair, and the 80s. If I had a senior picture like that floating around on the internet, I would laugh myself. That is a coping mechanism some people actually embrace, laughing at themselves with regards to hairstyles, clothing etc. Certainly many people are not as mean spirited as one would think. I myself have been nerdy and can relate to others nerdy pics. So as I said before, lighten up and back off.
laughing an image of yourself taken a number of years ago is not the same as nor does it justify laughing at someone else's photo. It also doesn't equal laughing at the current image of someone.
You are quite attractive so probably haven't had a whole lot of experience in having your looks made fun of.
I would bet some of the people in the 3 collections of images don't appreciate being the laughing stock of the internet.
Still I'll back off as ordered so no one will feel guilty for ridiculing others.
