Do as he says, not as he does?
Shocking.

plus that is just one of his houses. He has 2 others and a condo as well. Not to mention all the jet fuel he uses traveling around the country promoting his "theory". He is a huge hypocrite. He just realizes that this is the bandwagon to jump on and make him more millions and maybe lay the groundwork for another run in politics.

This is a little bit crazy, but do remember, its his message that matters. Hate him all you want, he informed millions of the ever growing crisis. So maybe a hypocrite, but his message certainly hasn't lost it's importance.

Great, another link to a conservative web site hosting a personal attack masquerading as a news release. Plime should have a special category for this stuff -- one for each political party.

So, if Gore's home is 40x the size of the "average" home, is his 20X the average energy use really 2X more energy efficient?

If his home in TN is also his home office, does that matter?

If he uses 1/10 the energy that the average conservative commentator with similar income uses, will that cause them to shush?

Of course not.

Did they even bother to look up this sort of data? Doubt it.

Does it have anything whatsoever to do with whether the message Gore has been trying to get out is correct or not? Nope.

Is it possible to have a civil debate on the science, without impugning motivations and personal integrity of those on the other side?

Apparently not.

edit: iduffee said it faster, shorter. :-)

you made a point about the size I didn't even realize.
The article was kinda funny with it's see-only-the-negative-things style.

It does tend to show, though, that he is not very serious about the message he is spreading and may not actually believe it himself.

However, all this does is discredit his point of view. You still have climatologists with valid viewpoints that happen to side with the man-made global warming theories. This should be left in the realm of science until we find a solution. Then we can politicize it if need be.

EVERYBODY PANIC

On a more serious note, I like to call stories like this Windshield Reports, because they all start with a small grain of truth, and when they're finished you have nothing but a messy smear.

I think members of both parties are guilty of this sort of thing. How silly of us. When will we grow up?
