I didn't vote this down, and I sincerly wish whoever did had the deceny to explain why they did.

One possible reason is there isn't much of an article here. Basically your description is the entire article.

In any case, do not let the voting down of the article get to you. Keep on posting.

You might want to consider posting such short snippets to the forum instead of the front page?

I voted this down, back when it pointed to his blog instead of Gizmodo (see edit history). This was blogspam, a case of rehashing info reported elsewhere and not adding anything of substantial value to it before submitting their own ad-covered link to us. There's an ongoing discussion in the forum right now about cracking down on blog rehash spam, and this article was one of the tipping points for me personally.

I don't know if it was markway's blog or not (as I see he contributed real articles to us before), so I'm sorry if this seems aggressive. But as I posted in the forum, it's not the authorship that matters to me... it's the content.
