Mars robots may have destroyed evidence of life
Mars robots may have destroyed evidence of life
Have Mars landers been destroying signs of life? Instead of identifying chemicals that could point to life, NASA's robot explorers may have been toasting them by mistake. picked by bornbad 6 months ago

I never cease to be amazed at how organizations (NASA) with huge huge HUGE budgets and the smartest people on the planet can sometimes make the silliest and most common mistakes.

If it's not smashing huge metal objects into Mars because of Metric-Imperial conversion errors, then it's vaporizing signs of life on the planet. GREAT.

I bet the guys in charge of those missions must be pissed at this guy that's figured it out though.

There's another thing, the rovers themselves out lasted their life expectancy by a long time, but are starting to slow down. Why? Because the solar panels are getting coated with Mars dust. The multimillion dollar robot can't brush them off.
