Update: It was ruled arson.

Our population of Puritan psychos has been getting more and more outspoken since the gay marriage bill passed. I am guessing one of them finally cracked.
The shop owner said he didn't have any property insurance (stupid, stupid choice, especially given the not-so-warm reception he got from the town...), and he was discussing plans of expanding the business, so it doesn't sound like he had any reason to set it himself.
