Plime is no different than most groups who don't want full information shared.
Sucks that that happened to you. But there is no secret group that voted your stuff down. It was the member group here on plime (you know, the same one you are part of). It has nothing to do with what type of information is on it, unless that information is considered super offensive and people will vote those down.
I have no problem with full information being shared. In fact, I prefer it. The problems come in when the "full information" is being posted on a blog that doesn't list any sources. Any jackass can write an article and call it fact, but that doesn't meant it is. The other instance in which you will likely be negative-voted (which can lead to deletion) is if you are a member who does not contribute in any way to the site OTHER THAN to post a link to your blog now and then. I think you have a valid point about no avenue for bringing your negative score back up (and I voted positively on your comment for that reason).
But in all honesty... nobody starts off with a negative karma. And there isn't a secret cabal (group) who controls the site. Obviously Jax can do what he wants here but it has been my experience that he lets the system work itself out as it was intended.
Users with the highest Karma levels do have more influence than new members but I think that by and large, they use that added influence with a good bit of self control.
In my opinion, your post comes off as if you think everyone is out to get you because they want to "suppress" your opinion.
I think the reality of it is that you (like everyone else) have to build up some good will from the start and moderate the tone of your comments.
It's OK to disagree with people... we're just asking that you be objective and "civil" when you do.
By the way - like blogs and commentaries, it's better to post "opinion pieces" to the forum. That is the best place to have open discussion and debate.
