I saw one of those outside a hotel in Toronto. It was gorgeous against the white snow. That was the only one I've ever seen.

There are black squirrels all over my area.. They're even breading with the red and gray squirrels which have been breeding with each other and now they're turning into mutant color blended squirrels... it's pretty interesting. We have a red squirrel with a black tail that frequently visits the bird feeders in my back yard.

I live in Westchester. There used to be loads of Black squirrels around Pelham. I haven't seen one in a while though.
