Ah, the glory days of the Commodore 64 and 128. I still regret selling mine. Those and BBSes were great.

How many of us remember typing in programs by hand from magazines?

Mwahahaha, I still have my commodore 64. The controllers don't work anymore but I found that a sega genesis controller works perfectly. I even have the printer still but try to find parts or the right paper for it.

I not only had a 64C and a 128D, but I ran a BBS on the 128D with JiffyDOS, a CMD RAMLink and a CMD HD! I even had a custom fan installed to cool off the built in 1571.

Color me geeky.

I had a second disk drive!
LOAD *,9,1

...and a 150 baud acoustic coupler. (Not really a modem, you had to take your phone off the hook and force it into two rubber cup looking things.)

How fast is 150 baud?

a 56k modem is 56,000 baud.

Thus, a mailman with a broken leg could transport information faster than my acoustic coupler.
