Billions US$ To Save Trees In Other Countries
Billions US$ To Save Trees In Other Countries
The upcoming climate change bill if passed will result in vastly larger expenses for Americans. Coming during a bad economy it is even a worse idea. Part of the bill would have taxpayers paying companies not to cut down trees around the world. Perhaps this could be a source of funding for Plime - if Plime promises not to cut down any trees. picked by 2manyusernames 5 months ago

Maybe you could call the Fed Gov't and offer to spare it's life for the right price.

Why not just make the companies pay ALOT for their cutting of trees. Instead of bribing them, punishing them.

Now that is just crazy talk.

Well actually in a way the companies would. The money we spend by granting offsets to companies would be sold by companies that had no intention of cutting down trees (or whatever) to companies willing to pay ALOT for the cutting of trees or other "non-green" action. Of course those expenses will be passed on to the consumer.

If we cut out the middleman and just charged higher fees for actions that were excessively non-green there would be no one who could become wealthy enough to purchase a lawmaker or three.
